Sweating for the summer
The end of the semester always leaves students feeling drained; final exams are coming up and some of you will be heading off to graduation and your career destination while others will have to work the summer away to afford a spring, summer or fall tuition.
Because of that, it’s nice to know you can burn off a little steam with Mount Royal Recreation.
Spring Semester students have gym access for free included with tuition; if you want to burn off a few calories or just take out your frustrations on the track or one of the available punching bags. It’s nice to use the gym for a little basketball with friends as well.
Gym memberships range anywhere from $40 to more than $400 so there is something for everyone depending on your budget.
Mount Royal also offers several classes over the summer, some your average workout, some uniquely different; all a nice change from papers and tests.
There are swim classes for all ages, different fitness classes including dance and weight training as well as personal training.
If you feel like exercising and relaxing your soul as well as your body there are also classes available in Pilates, yoga and tai chi.
Brochures about different campus recreation activities can be found all over campus but you can also access information online at mtroyal.ca/recreation.
