PINK

I never hated the colour pink
I hate the pretty pink polka dot pinafores put on passive and petite girls
In the playhouse playing pregnancy like a prizewinning broodmare of pristine pedigree
The pervasive propaganda of procreation as our primary purpose
Parenthood is the pinnacle
And you must provide or you’re pointless
Perturbed women pleading for patience as they pathologically perform perfection
Using poison to purify their paranoia
Punished when the prescription fails to push past the psychosis
The predatory patriarchy making prepubescent girls into pornography
Polished pussies pasted on porn hub, parents are preoccupied with their popularity
Picturesque plastic molded provocatively, these parasites profiting off our insecurities
Preserve your perishable beauty so you remain pleasant to perceive
Paradise is a pollution filled pavilion when you are no better than a polished prisoner
paraded as a princess but profoundly powerless
Enduring painful protests in the pursuit of the privilege to be plain and still have peace
A portrait of a pariah pressed into pre-prepared patterns
Their paltry promises are poor when the practice proves their priorities
A plethora of pretty pink puppets with perforated psyches pushed to a palpable point of pain
Pricked and pulled and plucked until they are palatable, pale and, pliant pawns in the pink plague
It was never about the colour pink
