Leagues growing throughout N.A.

On the week of May 24-26, the North American Gay Volleyball Association (NAGVA), held a heated and well played tournament at the University of Calgary’s Olympic oval.
The NAGVA is a sports association that supports volleyball and holds tournaments for volleyball enthusiasts in the LGBT community.
Brian Crumby is a board member of NAGVA, and vice-president to championship organization.
When asked about the NAGVA and its schedule, Crumby said “We have leagues in several different cities throughout north America, and we have 50 plus tournaments per year”
He explained there were “local leagues throughout North America that request tournaments in their area each year” which allows for a greater reach for the NAGVA and LGBT volleyball, which, according to Crumby is one of the greater goals of the association as a whole.
When asked about the possibility of extending athletic and event support to beyond just volleyball alone, Crumby had commented: “We partner with other LGBT associations and we see how we can collaborate with them to enhance the visibility of the LGBT community in a sport setting.”
